Online meeting with end of life Doulas and those interested in end of life topics forced me to wake up early. Despite waking up at 0500 in my previous work-life, waking up early does not come easily to me. I spent much of the day wishing for a nap, but never made it happen.
Once the afternoon hit, I made my way to Humble coffee to meet with a couple other active neighbors in hopes of better defining and networking to move the Strengthen Fair West idea forward. It was a really inspiring meeting that lead me to two new connections with local non-profit efforts that target increasing community engagement and demonstrate the existing and building momentum of action aimed to improve local neighborhoods.
