Jan/Feb updates

It can be hard to know what’s happening and not happening in the neighborhood association so I’d like to share what I've been up to and open the discussion for other interests and work board members have.

1. We, FWNA , have easier access to our bank account again and we’re actively working to pay back expenses (e.g. website hosting, scary supper, etc) not covered last year.

2. I’m working to gather and hope to regularly publish more articles to the FWNA blog/website which will cross post to facebook, nextdoor and some type of weekly email digest. Anita has also expressed interest; If anyone else has content or tech ideas, please reach out to us.

3. I have access to edit the website now and Kathy Turner pointed out the Representatives page isn’t up to date. I made a few updates, but I know additional changes are required. Please help me by pointing out what’s wrong.

4. The city is hosting a City Leaders Academy on March 2nd (RSVP by Feb 23rd). I really enjoyed going last year with Kathy. If you're interested and on the board, give a shout and I'll send you the details.

Glad you got access to post, Kathy!
I haven't finished getting Shawna and Paul paid, but I've been emailing with them and Colton to get that done this month.

And thanks for the contact updates. I just made some more updates. If you see other missing/incorrect info, I'm all ears

Hey, Anita. Glad you got access and I can relate to your concern.

A few advantages that I hope this forum can offer for group conversations over email or other social media and may outweigh the inherent annoyance of using new software :

1. Easier access to see past community conversations for users who don't check email often or who were not included as a recipient.
2. As more people know about and use this forum, they can reach out to the entire board or all neighbors which I hope will lead to quicker/more responses.
3. No ads and we can share administration and moderation on our own terms since we control the server.
